A new variety of Columbine that produces nodding flowers that resemble small, double flowering dahlias with fully ruffled head in a lovely shade of salmon-pink. A long lasting Columbine in the garden or as a cut flower.

CULTURAL NOTES: Columbines hybridize readily in the garden, so try planting individual colors at least 20 feet away from each other to preserve their individuality over the years. Prefers compost-enriched soil with regular irrigation and protection from the afternoon sun.

NOMENCLATURE NOTES: 'Aquilegia' ( "Eagle's claw", referring to the flower morphology). Columbine has always been associated with doves, known as columba in Latin, and so became a symbol of the Holy Spirit in Medieval Europe.
