Aubretia hybrida 'Axcent Deep Purple' (Rockcress) Gallon

Part of the Axcent Series of Rock Cress plants that bloom for three months, non-stop! Lavender-purple flowers with creamy eyes are borne in clusters bloom atop green, tidy foliage. Plant this lovely ground cover to drape over walls or to fill in a perennial bed with early color.

 

USE FOR: Containers, rock gardens, front of the border in perennial gardens, along walkways, draping over walls, plant in mass for maximum impact.

How To Grow Aubrieta: Plant Rock Cress in well-drained soil in full sun. A rock garden plant, this hardy perennial does not like to sit in water. Once blooms are finished, shear back for shape and to stimulate new foliage growth. Let dry in between waterings. Fertilize in the spring and summer with a balanced slow-release fertilizer.  Aubretia was named after the French botanical artist Claude Aubriet.
