Compact blue-green foliage is covered with tubular-shaped butter-yellow flowers all summer long. Eye catching perennial plant to add to the garden. This robust perennial plant thrives in heat and humidity making it ideal for Southern gardens.

CULTURAL NOTES FOR COREOPSIS:Coreopsis in general thrive in poor to average well-drained soil. Avoid winter wet, and be patient in spring, as they break dormancy quite late.

NOMENCLATURE NOTES: Coreopsis: Greek 'koris' (bug) and '-opsis' (resembling) or 'buglike', thus the common name Tickseed, since the achenes resemble ticks. Verticillata:Whorled, referring to the leaf arrangement on the stems.
