An upright growing threadleaf variety of Coreopsis with stunning golden yellow flowers streaked with ruby-red and matching ruby red eyes. This hardy Coreopsis blooms en masse, creating a bi-color carpet in the garden. Makes and ideal cut flower to add to natural looking arrangements or bouquets. A long blooming perennial plant, that produces compact, dark green foliage. Deer resistant and attracts butterflies!

CULTURAL NOTES FOR COREOPSIS:Coreopsis in general thrive in poor to average well-drained soil. Avoid winter wet, and be patient in spring, as they break dormancy quite late.
NOMENCLATURE NOTES: Coreopsis: Greek 'koris' (bug) and '-opsis' (resembling) or 'buglike', thus the common name Tickseed, since the achenes resemble ticks. Verticillata:Whorled, referring to the leaf arrangement on the stems.
