Osmunda cinnamomea (Cinnamon Fern) Gallon
Stately mature blue-green fronds contrast with cinnamon-brown fertile fronds that emerge at the base of this dramatic fern for the shade garden. A wonderful large fern for hedges and mass planting under trees and in partial sun, especially conifers as long as the soil is rich and can be kept evenly moist. Stunning when used as a backdrop for Astilbes and Hostas.
