Ferns: Osmunda regalis (American Royal Fern) Gallon
The American Royal fern is a tough native fern with an unusual shrub-like form to 6' if growing in riparian areas with evenly moist rich soil, but typically to 3' in the average garden. More sun tolerant than most ferns. A wonderful large fern for hedges and mass planting under trees and in partial sun, especially conifers as long as the soil is rich and can be kept evenly moist. Stunning when used as a backdrop for Astilbes and Hostas. Shipped in a 1 gallon nursery trade container.
