Polystichum munitum (Western Sword Fern) Gallon
The Western Sword fern is a wonderful native fern that is more drought tolerant than most ferns once it has established a good colony. A wonderful medium-sized fern for mass planting under trees and in partial shade, especially under conifers as long as the soil is rich and can be kept evenly moist while getting established. Stunning when mixed with Astilbes and Hostas.

- GROWS BEST IN: Semi-moist to moist soil that is rich in organic matter
