Gaillardia aristata 'Fanfare Blaze' ( Blanket Flower ) PPAF

Unique pinwheels of warm-orange tubular blooms cover Fanfare Blaze blanket flower. An exceptionally long flowering bloom time. Hardy and drought tolerant. 

  • USE FOR: Plant in containers, front of the border in perennial gardens, rock gardens, along walkways, plant in mass for maximum impact.             
  • BLOOM TIME: June to October if deadheaded

CULTURAL NOTES: Blanket Flowers prefer well-drained soils with moderate fertility. Too much nitrogen will cause plants to flop. If the soil is too wet, Gaillardia will have trouble getting established, and may fizzle out after the first year. These tough perennial plants like it hot! For best results provide at least seven hours of direct sun.
