Add impact to your garden, or container plantings with Gallo Red Blanket Flower. This tough perennial plant produces large, bright red flowers on stiff, straight stems all summer long. A hardy Gaillardia, Gallo Red is a drought tolerant, heat tolerant, and deer resistant perennial plant making it ideal for planting in containers, along walkways, or in raised beds. 

• USE FOR: Plant in containers, front of the border in perennial gardens, along walkways, plant en masse for maximum impact.             
• BLOOM TIME: June to October if deadheaded             
• PESTICIDE-FREE:  All of our plants are grown with sustainable organic methods.

• USDA HARDINESS: Zone 5 - 9          
• GROWS BEST IN: Full sun, well drained soil

CULTURAL NOTES: Blanket Flowers prefer well-drained soils with moderate fertility. Too much nitrogen will cause plants to flop. If the soil is too wet, Gaillardia will have trouble getting established, and may fizzle out after the first year. These tough perennial plants like it hot! For best results provide at least seven hours of direct sun.
