Hakonechloa macra 'Beni Kaze' Japanese Forest Grass

Beni Kaze translates as "red wind" in Japanese, perfectly describing the fall transition of the bright green foliage to burgundy-red. A graceful, casually draping ornamental grass, use in groups, or plant a singular specimen adjacent to a flagstone patio or fountain. Plant with lime green colored Heucheras, and Sutherland Gold Sambucus for high contrast. Hakonechloa originated in the Hakone region of Japan, thus the common name of Hakone grass.
