Growing Herb Plants Tips:

1.  Locate the herb plant garden near your kitchen or patio area where you can easily harvest fresh herbs for cooking.
2.  Most herb plants prefer o grow in full sun and well-drained soil. If planting in a patio container use a good quality container planting mix. 
3.  Perennial herb plants such as Rosemary, Sage, Thyme and Oregano can be planted in pots and brought inside during the winter.
4.  Fertilize herb plants with a slow release organic fertilizer at the time of planting, and with a supplemental liquid fertilizer as needed. 
5.  Herbs like to be trimmed and will grow better if you use them on a regular basis. 
6.  Let the soil around the base of the herb plants dry out in between watering.
