Hibiscus syriacus Lavender Chiffon makes a stunning statement in the summer garden. Beautiful lacy lavender flowers on a strong, vigorous Rose of Sharon cultivar. Blooms mid-summer. Grows in any soil unless it is either very dry or very wet. Prune in late fall or early spring. Can be heavily pruned since it blooms in summer on new wood. Prefers medium moisture and well-drained soil. Deciduous shrub. Multiple award winner. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release organic fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs.
