Hibiscus syriacus Rose Satin is a very hardy and vigorous Rose of Sharon with lovely, large ruffled pink blooms off-set with stunning rich red eyes. Use Rose Satin Hibiscus as an accent shrub or plant in masse to create a flowering hedge that is also deer resistant. Blooms mid-summer. Grows in any soil unless it is either very dry or very wet. Prune in late fall or early spring. Can be heavily pruned since it blooms in summer on new wood. Prefers medium moisture and well-drained soil. Deciduous shrub. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release organic fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application. This shrub is grown and shipped in a quart container.
