How to Grow Siberian Iris: easier to grown than German Bearded Iris, Siberian Iris will tolerate a wide variety of soil conditions, including damp or wet garden areas. Because they grow from fibrous roots rather than from rhizomes, they are also less likely to be bothered by the iris borer or root rot.
Iris bloom best in full sun, but will produce colorful flowers in areas that receive only 5-6 hours of sun per day. To keep iris blooming, divide every 3-4 years, in either the spring or summer.
