Lavender Provence is a graceful, hardy and drought tolerant lavender with light purple-gray flowers on very long slender stems. High in oil content; extremely fragrant! Plant Provence Lavender in masse along walkways or on banks to create a sea of fragrant lilac blue flowers in the summer.

  • PESTICIDE-FREE: All of our plants are grown with sustainable organic methods.
  • BLOOM TIME: Summer, reliable rebloomer.
  • MATURE SIZE: 2' x 2'
  • USDA HARDINESS: Zone 5-10
  • GROWS BEST IN: Full sun in very well-drained soil.
  • USE FOR: Excellent dried flower, high oil content for herbal use.
  • Pot Size: #1 Nursery Trade Gallon - 2.51 qt (liquid) (2.38 l)

CULTURAL NOTES: Lavenders prefer to grow in porous, very well-drained soil in full sun. Do not over-fertilize. Trim only the spent flowers, do not cut the shrub back to the ground in fall or spring as you do standard perennials.

NOMENCLATURE NOTES: 'Lavandula' (From the Latin for to wash or to bathe, referring to its use to scent waters in Roman baths) and 'x intermedia' (A group of hybrids between L. angustifolia and L. latifolia, resulting in a hardy lavender often referred to as Lavandins)
