Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead' (English Lavender)
Munstead Lavender sports lighter purple blooms than Hidcote, and has a wonderful compact growth habit. Blooms about 2 weeks earlier than Hidcote. Like Hidcote, very high in oil content for herbal use.

CULTURAL NOTES: Lavenders prefer to grow in porous, very well-drained soil in full sun. Do not over-fertilize. Trim only the spent flowers, do not cut the shrub back to the ground in fall or spring as you do standard perennials.
