Burgundy and red-tinged foliage on this selection of the prairie native grass species! Pinkish-red panicles add a pink mist effect to the late summer border. Compact, slow-growing variety-really stunning in a mass planting mixed with Goldsturm Rudbeckias and October Glory Sedums CULTURAL NOTES: Easy to care for cultivar of the prairie native switchgrass. Cut dried plumes back in spring after new shoots emerge. NOMENCLATURE NOTES: 'Panicum' (the Latin word for wild millet) and 'virgatum' (wand-like, twig-like).
