A hardy Creeping Phlox, Atropurpurea Phlox blooms in the early spring creating a carpet of maroon-red flowers.

Atropurpurea creeping phlox is easy to grow. For best results follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. For a neat appearance, remove old foliage before new leaves emerge. Divide clumps every 2 to 3 years in early spring. Shear back after phlox have finished blooming to promote a new flush of growth, and give phlox plants a tidy look throughout the summer.
