Pieris japonica 'Mountain Fire' (Japanese Pieris) is one of the hardiest Japanese Pieris and is hardy down to Zone 5. The new spring foliage emerges fire-red in spring followed by long-lasting plumes of cream blooms. Beautiful in mixed plantings with Rhododendrons and Azaleas. Excellent foundation shrub for east or north exposures. Grown in and shipped in a nursery trade 2 gallon pot.
