Canby Red Raspberry is a delicious bright red raspberry developed in Oregon and first introduced in 1953. This tasty, almost thorn-less Red Raspberry will produce large, good flavored, firm, juicy, bright red berry with fine quality.
It is easy and enjoyable to grow your own raspberries and you will find that this Northwest favorite is ideal for a variety of uses including freezing, canning, cooking, and fresh eating. Strong vigorous canes support the heavy crop of fruit that is produced in the summer. Canby Raspberry does show a high level of virus resistance and aphid immunity but is sensitive to Root Rot so good soil drainage is required.
Due to their vigorous growth, raspberry plants will be trimmed back prior to shipping.
