Long clusters of bright yellow sunflowers in the late fall. Huge back of the border dazzler to pair with the big fall Asters like 'Hella Lacy' or the large ornamental grasses. Makes a 4' long cutflower! If you have room you must have it! CULTURAL NOTES: Perennial Helianthus isn't fussy about soil and seems to thrive in about any conditions. NOMENCLATURE NOTES: 'Helianthus' (Helios [sun] and anther [flower]) and 'maximilliani' (unclear, may either refer to its large size or may have been named in honor of Emperor Maximillian of Mexico) Gallon pot
