Hidocte Lavender has the deepest purple flower of the English lavenders. Nice compact growth habit. High in oil content for herbal use. Use this hardy, deer resistant shrub in container gardens, along walkways or mixed in with other perennials. CULTURAL NOTES: Lavenders prefer to grow in porous, very well-drained soil in full sun. Do not over-fertilize. Trim only the spent flowers, do not cut the shrub back to the ground in fall or spring as you do standard perennials.
