Large airy panicles above lovely variegated foliage- great in the border! Really nice winter interest. Deer resistant. CULTURAL NOTES: Thrives in moist sites, but performs well in xeric situations. Panicles give winter interest, trim back in spring. NOMENCLATURE NOTES: 'Deschampsia' (Named in honor of 19th century French naturalist Louis Deschamps) and 'caespitosa' (tufted).
